What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient art of natural healing, rediscovered in Japan by Dr Mikao Usui over one hundred years ago. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means "Universal Life" and (Ki) which means "Energy". Reiki heals the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. It is called Universal Life Energy because it draws upon the healing energy of the universe rather than the energy of the practitioner. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is not a massage nor is it based on any belief or suggestion. It is a subtle and effective form of energy healing using spiritually guided life force energy. Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. Reiki Practitioners understand that everyone has the ability to connect with their own healing energy and use it to strengthen energy in them and help others. It is believed that a person's "ki" or energy should be strong and free flowing. When this is true, a person's body and mind is in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked, it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words

Rei- which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power"

Ki- which is "life force energy".

So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. Distance Reiki

As radio and television waves can be sent over distances, so can Reiki. There is a bit of a difference with the Reiki energy, as it is more spiritually guided, and the senders and receivers are often human. But Reiki can also be used within the traditional animal-vegetable-mineral kingdoms as well as used in the spiritual realms to help lower vibrational energies achieve higher vibrational status. But for the sake of this article, I am going to concentrate on the sending and receiving from humans to humans.

Most of the evidence that exists for distance Reiki is anecdotal, but does have merit. I have been doing distance Reiki since 2012 and have done over 1000 distance sessions, many professionally. Often times I don’t know anything about the person I am working with other than their name and their location on the planet. I try to keep it that way so that I am working with a clean slate, and no preconceived notions.

How on call sessions are conducted

Pre preparation: - same as distance healing viz. having bath, sitting in comfortable chair etc.

Main procedure:- A phone call is made to a person who wishes to undergo the process. During this call one has to activate his / her headphone & relax to follow the instructions. By this unique method client is made expose to the Reiki energies via step by step procedure & session is concluded. A person is provided with Reiki energy on each and every step of the procedure & it's energy reflection responses are checked.

Duration – Session may last from 20 Mins to 1 hr depending on energy responses given by client & type of healing.
